School Lunches

School Lunches

Our school lunches are made on site each day by our Edwards and Ward chef and her team. To support healthy eating, we make our own sauces, curries, pies, lasagnes, pizzas, cakes and biscuits etc and buy very little ready made food. We recognise that we cannot cater for everyone's tastes and as such, some children and families, may not choose a school meal but we aim to offer food options that the majority of children enjoy.

Packed Lunches

Children may bring a healthy packed lunch, however please avoid:

  • Nuts – please pay special attention to food that may contain nuts
  • Sesame - includes tahini – a paste used in Middle Eastern cooking, hummus, sesame snaps/bars, breadsticks, crackers and biscuits, burger buns, bagels and some breads
  • Bars of chocolate (although chocolate covered biscuits are fine)
  • Food on wooden skewers
  • Fizzy drinks

Cool Milk

Our school provides a milk scheme that is available to all of our pupils and we would like to invite you to register your child.  School milk is free for under-5s, and for over-5s it is available at a subsidised price.

Each child that registers with Cool Milk will receive a 189ml portion of semi-skimmed milk every day, delivered fresh and chilled to the classroom.  Their school milk will not only provide them with essential nutrients, but as it is rehydrating and energy boosting it also bridges the gap between breakfast and lunch to help children stay focused.

How to register if your child is five or older:

  • Register and pay online at www.coolmilk.com
  • You can pay Cool Milk online in half-termly, termly or annual instalments.
  • Please pay by a Tuesday at 5pm for your child’s milk to start the following week

If you have any questions regarding school milk please visit www.coolmilk.com  or contact Cool Milk directly on 0800 321 3248.
