Year 1/2 – Inkpen & Rosen

Welcome  to Key Stage 1

Inkpen - Mrs Harris

Rosen - Miss Benham

Supporting Adults: Mrs Allaway, Mrs Lomax,

Welcome back everyone!

We are delighted that all children are back at school and the children are familiarising themselves with the "back to normal" routines!

Please note we are back to a 8.30 - 8.40am soft start with Kiss and Drop operating as usual and 3.15pm dismissal from the class doors.

We will shortly send you the Seesaw QR codes for setting up the child account and the family Seesaw. Once you have this, you will be able to share any home learning on Seesaw for your child's teacher and keep in touch with us.

We will continue to upload a grid with all the home learning on it and any additional resources will be on our website.

General notices

  • Seesaw will be the main method of communication - class notices, reminders, submitting homework etc.
  • Please ensure your child brings in their reading record and reading book daily and that it is signed. If your child has read a book from home please make a note of this too. You may now return books in the morning when you finish them and your child will be given a new book in the afternoon to take home.  Children who read regularly make good progress.
  • Please ensure your child has a named water bottle and a rain coat. Pencil cases are not needed - we will provide everything your child needs.
  • PE kits are to be worn all day on PE days: Wednesday and Thursday.

We look forward to a happy and productive term ahead with your child!

Many Thanks

KS1 Team

Phonics Screening Check

Year 1 children will take the phonic's screening check in the Summer term. As the year 2 children did not have the opportunity to take the check last academic year, they will take it in the second part of the autumn term. If they do not meet the standard at this point they will have another opportunity in the Summer term.

Please see the video below to explain the check in more detail

We have provided a number of story planners.  Please choose the planner that suits your child's ability and way of working best.
Welcome to Holyport Primary School. We currently have Pre-Reception places available for September 2024. Please contact the school office to arrange a viewing of our setting.
