Our Playground Friends are a valued team of pupil leaders who help make playtimes and lunchtimes enjoyable, inclusive, and supportive for everyone. Easily recognised by their yellow hats, they act as play leaders, positive role models, and a friendly source of emotional support and guidance for younger children.

They help organise and demonstrate games, support children in our HOP zones, and encourage the development of friendships, confidence, and important social skills.

Our Playground Friends are proud to help every child feel included, happy, and engaged. As part of their ongoing development, they will soon have a dedicated ‘Base Bench’ where children can go for support, friendship, and help finding positive play opportunities.
