Meet the Team

C.S. Lewis Class - Mrs White and Mrs Benham

King-Smith Class - Miss Cunningham and Mrs Stevens

Please could your child bring in a plastic bag so that they can take home their old Year 2 books and any other bits they have made this year? Thank you.

The Race for Life event will be happening on Tuesday 18th July in the morning. Remember to bring in your sponsorship forms, with any money before Friday 21st July.

We are hoping to film The Enormous Crocodile play on Wednesday of next week. Please make sure your child brings in their costume in a named bag, ready for the performance.

School will finish at 2:00 on Friday 21st July.

Year 3 Topics

This half term

We will be continuing to follow the Cornerstones Creative Curriculum. Our new topic will be Flow. During this topic we will be investigating and testing soil and water samples from a variety of rivers. We will be looking at the profile of a river and identifying the main features, as well as finding out about the famous world rivers and the animals and plant life that live in them. In Art and DT we will be building waterwheels, which we hope to test and bubble artwork using straws, bubbles and bright paint.

This term Science will link to our Flow topic. During the half term we will be investigating and testing soil and water samples from rivers. We’ll also be conducting fair tests and finding out about aquatic and non-aquatic plants.

Summer Holiday Homework

Over the Summer holidays it would benefit your child if they continued to practise the Year 3/4 spellings and continued to read as often as they can. They can practise their times tables as well.
