A fantastic performance! (or five..)
Our choir has grown incredibly over the last term! The term has seen some fantastic performances from the choir, not only an excellent first 'set' at the Christmas Fair, but also at three local nursing homes: Holyport Lodge, Meadowbank & Foxleigh Grove. All three visits went really well and both the residents and staff appreciated the Choir's contribution to the local community. The singing at the Church service as a whole was also brilliant, and the Choir's performance of 'O Holy Night' and the descants to some carols (aided by a returning Mrs Henley!) were of such a high quality that many adults have shared their appreciation of your singing.
Keep up the hard work choir! I (Miss Foulds) cannot say enough times how proud I am of each and every one of you - your singing has definitely been the highlight of my term!
Our next performance for Candlemass at St. Michael's on Sunday 29th January went splendidly as well, with Reverend Cowles noting that the children sang 'very touchingly and helped make it a special service'.
Our school choir is open to all children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. We meet each Monday afternoon after school until 4pm in Dahl Class. We will be learning songs to perform to the school and would like everyone that enjoys singing to come along and join us.
There are still places in the choir.
